Our Lenten Discipline

During Lent we will be collecting items for our Mt. Olive Care Center for those in our community who need food and other essentials.

Each week during Lent we will collect an item, items, or a monetary donation according to the listing below. Please bring your item/s up to the altar when coming up for communion and place on the tables.

The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, for whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it for me.”

Sunday, March 9: Personal Care Items
Shampoo, Shaving cream, Deodorant, Bar Soap, Toilet Paper

Sunday, March 16: Canned Meals
Dinty Moore Beef Stew, Pasta in can, Instant Potatoes. Etc.

Sunday, March 23: Cereal-Hot or Cold
Boxed cereal including oatmeal

Sunday, March 30: Canned Fruits, Soups, Crackers
Any kind

Sunday, April 6: Boxed Meals
Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, Hamburger Helper, etc.

Sunday, April 13: Cleaning Supplies
Dish and Laundry Soap, Other cleaning supplies

AN ACTION TEAM GRANT FOR $250 HAS BEEN APPLIED FOR FROM THRIVENT FINANCIALTO BUY ADDITIONAL ITEMS
