Pastor Krampien
Pastor Zachary Krampien, originally from Normal, Illinois, carries a deep-seated passion for his faith and an unwavering dedication to serving. His religious journey began in his home church, Our Savior Lutheran in Normal, where he was ordained on July 30th of 2023. Pastor Krampien was unanimously called by the congregation to serve at Zion Lutheran in Mt. Olive and Zion Evangelical Lutheran in Gillespie.
Pastor Krampien’s education reflects his strong commitment to religious studies. He started his academic journey at Valparaiso University, where he completed his undergraduate studies in 2018, majoring in mathematics. At Valparaiso, he met his future wife, Ashleigh.
Driven to delve deeper into his faith, Pastor Krampien then attended the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, where he graduated in May of 2022. His time at the seminary enriched his understanding of theology, further equipping him to guide and lead his congregation.
His commitment to his calling was formally recognized when he began his service at Zion Lutheran and Zion Evangelical Lutheran on August 1st. Shortly after, he was officially installed on August 6th at Zion Lutheran in Mt. Olive.
Pastor Krampien, along with his wife Ashleigh, are poised to make a significant impact on their new community. With their shared vision and combined efforts, they aim to contribute meaningfully to the spiritual and community life of Zion Lutheran.
